I’ve been working in online marketing since 2015. Before entering the digital marketing world, I studied at Humboldt University in Berlin and spent several years working in international inside sales.

What is much harder to find is realistic information.

Search online for side hustles or passive income, and you will find plenty of impressive promises:

“Quit your job in 30 days.”
“Earn thousands with this simple method.”
That is not what this website is about.
Building a sustainable online side income usually takes time, patience, experimentation, and consistent work.
You need to learn new skills.
You need to create something useful.
You need to attract an audience.
And many strategies simply take time before they produce meaningful results.
That may not sound as exciting as an overnight-success story, but I believe it is much more useful.
That is why I created Realistic Side Income: to share practical strategies for people who want to build additional income step by step, without hype or unrealistic promises.

Realistic Side Income is not just a website about building an online business.
It is part of my own online business journey.
I continue to work on the website, create content, explore traffic strategies, use online marketing tools, and learn what works—and what does not.
That distinction matters to me.
I do not want to present online business as an easy formula where following a few steps automatically produces income.
It does not.
Some strategies work better than expected.
Others take much longer.
And sometimes you invest time in something that simply does not produce the results you hoped for.
That is part of building something real.
My aim is to share useful lessons from that process while also researching and explaining the topics beginners need to understand.
My Approach: Help First
The philosophy behind this website is simple:
Help first. Build trust. Monetize responsibly.
That applies especially to affiliate marketing.

You do not have to complete that process in a few weeks.
And you do not have to compete with people who can spend eight hours every day building an online business.
You can start smaller.

One Pinterest Pin.
One subscriber.
One affiliate commission.
Then build from there.
A side income that grows slowly but is based on useful content, real skills, and assets you control can be far more valuable than chasing one “easy money” opportunity after another.
